Oublis – Restoration Studio for Antique Paintings and Wooden Furniture by Chiara Domenighini, Valle Camonica

Oublis arises from the intersection of technical precision and aesthetic research.

An independent studio where conservation and selection engage in dialogue, combining restoration with the careful choice of objects capable of building memory, atmosphere, and character.

Founded by Chiara Domenighini (born 1990), Oublis has its roots in specialized training in cultural heritage conservation. After classical high school, Chiara was admitted to the School of Higher Education for the Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Botticino (BS), where she developed theoretical and practical knowledge focused on the protection and understanding of materials.

During her training years, she complemented her studies with experience in various restoration workshops, focusing particularly on wooden sculptures and canvas paintings. Her journey continued in Florence, at the Restoration Laboratories of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, and subsequently at the Dambra restoration laboratory and the PDDM icon restoration laboratory in Rome, broadening her experience with works of diverse nature and complexity.

Upon returning to Valle Camonica, she started her own business as a restorer of paintings and wooden furnishings, simultaneously developing research dedicated to the selection and enhancement of art objects, antiques, frames, and gilding.

Active since 2013, Oublis today operates between conservation interventions and consulting for art dealers, private collectors, architects, and interior decorators, maintaining an approach that combines technical precision and aesthetic sensibility.
