Restoration workshop

The workshop is a space dedicated to the conservation of ancient paintings and wooden artifacts, where every intervention arises from careful observation and a preliminary study of the work.

Restoration is understood as a practice of protection: a balance between respect for the original material and conservation needs.

Each work requires time, measure and discernment.

Method and areas of work

Each intervention originates from an accurate analysis, accompanied by photographic documentation and non-invasive tests aimed at defining the most respectful approach to the original material.

The workshop works on paintings on canvas and panel, wooden artifacts and antique furniture, frames and gilded surfaces, also providing, when necessary, framing solutions consistent with style and period.

Case studies

A collection of interventions carried out in the workshop. Each case demonstrates an approach based on analysis, measure, and conservation responsibility.
